French striker Kylian Mbappe has told Paris Saint Germin that he will stay at the club next season, according to Le Parisien.
However, the club still insists that Mbappe signs a contract renewal in order to ensure that he doesn’t leave for free next season.
The PSG high-ups believe that Mbappe already has a contract in place with Real Madrid and he will join the Whites in the summer of 2024.
To push the striker out of the club, the French club has already gone to extremes. Last month, Mbappe was excluded from the club’s squad for their Asian pre-season tour.
PSG did not only exclude Mbappe from the pre-season squad, they also decided to send him to train with discarded players, who are no longer part of the project.
PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaifi has said that Mbappe will be reintegrated into the first team after extends his contract.
PSG have also told Mbappe that he won’t play for the club this season if he stays to run out his contract.
It must be noted that Mbappe is not keen on signing a new contract because he feels betrayed by the club. After signing a renewal in 2022, the cub had promised Mbappe that they would sign big names, like Bernardo Silva and Robert Lewandowski, however that was not the case.
Earlier, Saudi club Al-Hilal officially submitted a massive €300m bid for Paris Saint Germain’s (PSG) forward Kylian Mbappe. However, the offer was rejected by Mbappe since he dreams about playing for Madrid.
However, Al-Hilal — who signed Ruben Neves from Wolves — is not the only team after the Frenchman. Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspurs, Chelsea, and FC Barcelona are the teams who want to sign the 24-year-old.
